What is AcneTrack AI?

Acne Assessment Platform — AcneTrack AI is an AI-powered imaging support tool that non-invasively assesses acne severity from a standard acne photograph. The system digitally performs lesion counting, zone mapping and risk analysis to provide objective acne quantification.

Texture and color signatures of acne lesions (papule, pustule, comedo, nodule) in the image are quantified by AI models. From multi-angle images, a facial zone map (forehead, T-zone, cheeks, nose, chin, jawline) and scar/PIH risk scores are extracted.

Core Capabilities

  • Total lesion count (inflammatory + comedo + nodule/cyst)
  • IGA (0-4) and GAGS (0-30+) clinical scoring
  • BSA (Body Surface Area) involvement %
  • Multi-angle zone map (forehead, T-zone, cheeks, nose, chin, jawline)
  • Lesion overlay and distribution chart
  • Scar and PIH risk scores (0-100)
  • Treatment response prediction and stagnation warning
  • Comedogenic product scanner (OCR + ingredient analysis)
  • Acne diary with trigger correlation
  • Allergen-safe product recommendations via PatientAllergenProfile
Clinical Positioning
The system is a screening and decision-support tool; it does not replace a definitive medical diagnosis. AI models may err; outputs are produced to support a physician's clinical assessment. Final diagnosis and treatment decisions rest with the specialist physician.

Technology: AI Lesion Detection & Zone Map

The platform combines image processing and large language model (LLM)-based multimodal inference. From a standard RGB image, lesions are counted and classified; from multi-angle images, a facial zone map and scar/PIH risk scores are extracted.

Processing Flow

  • Image capture & quality audit (brightness, contrast, sharpness)
  • Lesion segmentation and classification (papule/pustule/comedo/nodule)
  • Multimodal LLM inference: lesion count, IGA/GAGS, BSA, severity, clinical commentary
  • Zone Map & Risk: zone map, scar/PIH risk score, response prediction

Software-Centric Architecture

Hardware-Independent
Runs only on the smartphone's built-in camera; no extra medical hardware required.
Web-based (SaaS)
API-first architecture; integrates with EMR/dermatology platforms, real-time remote monitoring.
AI Integration
Lesion feature extraction + multimodal LLM for objective scoring and clinical commentary.
Telemedicine-Ready
Records stored as digital data; remote consultation and longitudinal tracking.

Modules & Parameters

The platform consists of five specialized modules: Acne Tracking (multi-angle zone map), Trend, Response Prediction, Product Scanner and Acne Diary. Each parameter is reported as percentage/score, supporting both overall assessment and session-based treatment response.

Acne Tracking
Single/multi-angle lesion count + zone map
Scoring
IGA (0-4), GAGS (0-30+), severity level
Involvement
BSA (Body Surface Area) involvement %
Risk
Scar & PIH risk scores (0-100)
Trend
Time-series chart & session comparison
Prediction
Healing rate, weeks to 75%, stagnation
Product Scanner
Comedogenicity/irritant score, safe alternative
Acne Diary
Stress, sleep, menstrual, diet trigger correlation
Allergen
Safe product recommendation via allergen profile

Output Format

  • Per module: scores, description, severity, clinical AI commentary
  • Trend: time-series charts and cross-session comparison
  • Patient allergen profile integration (PatientAllergenProfile)
  • Printable full report (PDF) and longitudinal trend chart

Clinical Value & Decision Support

The platform supports clinical workflows as a screening and treatment-response monitoring tool. Objective lesion quantification provides structured, reproducible and comparable data to the physician. Final diagnosis and treatment decisions always rest with the specialist physician.

Screening
Community/clinic-based non-invasive acne screening support.
Decision Support
Objective lesion scores + clinical AI commentary.
Tracking
Longitudinal trend and treatment response monitoring.

Safety Architecture (Human-in-the-loop)

  • AI output is not a diagnosis; it is information supporting the physician's assessment
  • AI commentary does not contain prescription/treatment recommendations
  • Per-patient data isolation (RLS) and KVKK/GDPR-aligned sensitive-data approach

Integration Scenarios

Teledermatology
Remote consultation, acne tracking and recording from mobile devices.
Product & Diary
Comedogenic product scanning and trigger diary for holistic management.

ESG & Sustainability

The software-centric architecture aligns with European Union carbon-reduction and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals. Hardware independence brings medical consumable use close to zero and reduces the carbon footprint from patients' physical travel through telemedicine.

Zero Hardware
Eliminates carbon from production-to-disposal of dermatoscope/fluorescence cameras.
Zero Consumables
No single-use probes/apparatus; clinical waste near zero.
Digital Logistics
Web-based analysis removes the need for patient travel to the clinic.

Roadmap

Phase 1
Clinical deployment of the five modules (Tracking, Trend, Prediction, Product, Diary).
Phase 2
Deep-learning-based automated lesion classification improvement.
Phase 3
Personalized acne tracking and predictive treatment-response analytics.
